About Us
Why we built The Bible in Your Voice
Our Mission
We believe that hearing a story in a familiar voice transforms the experience of reading. Classic literature deserves to be heard — not in a stranger's narration, but in the voice of someone you love.
Imagine a parent reading Pride and Prejudice to their child every night, even when they're away on business. A partner's voice narrating your favourite novel during your commute. Your own voice bringing Dickens to life in a way that feels uniquely yours.
Engil exists to make the world's greatest literature deeply personal. We use AI voice technology to transform a one-minute recording into a complete audiobook library — so that the stories you love sound like home.
How It Works
- Record your voice — read one short passage aloud. It takes about one minute, using just your phone.
- AI generates your audiobooks — our voice-twinning technology creates a faithful replica of your voice, reading every chapter.
- Listen anywhere — receive your personalised audiobook library, ready to play on any device, anytime.
Our Values
We are passionate about literature, technology, and human connection. We built this service because we believe that the best stories deserve to be experienced in the most personal way possible.
- Literature-centred — the world's greatest books are at the heart of everything we offer.
- Personal connection — a personalised audiobook is a gift that strengthens bonds between people.
- Accessibility — everyone deserves to enjoy great literature in a format that works for them.
- Quality craftsmanship — we use the latest AI technology to produce audiobooks that sound natural and engaging.
Our Story
Engil began with a simple question: what if you could hear your favourite novel narrated by someone you love? Not a professional narrator, but your own parent, partner, or friend — reading to you in their own voice.
That idea grew into a mission. Today, Engil serves readers around the world, turning a one-minute recording into a library of personalised audiobooks featuring hundreds of the world's greatest works of literature.
